Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred
  • Current BLS certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of environmental services.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information.
  • Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner.

 Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

  • Some weekends required.
  • Physically demanding, high-stress environment
  • Exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation, and repetitive motions
  • Pushing and pulling heavy objects
  • Position requires light to moderate work with 50 pounds maximum weight to lift and carry.
  • Position requires reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeing.
  1. Duties:

Job Summary

Under direction of the Clinic Manger, CNO, and/or Provider, care for all patients in the clinic, and anywhere else required in the hospital. Demonstrate ability to utilize the appropriate resources, room patients, obtain vitals and the use appropriate supplies to care for the patient. Following all policy & procedures of FRMC.

Essential Functions

  • Promote the mission, vision, and values of FRMC.
  • Adherence to all policies and procedures of hospital.
  • Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Housekeeping Department.
  • Completes work assignments in a timely manner.
  • Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
  • Assists visitors with directions whenever requested.
  • Always introduces self to patients, families, and visitors.
  • Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques, Standard Precautions, and isolation precautions.
  • Maintains set quality standards when performing job duties.
  • Ability to do work on his/her own with normal supervision.
  • Observes safety precautions at all times.
  • Cooperate with other personnel to achieve departmental objectives, maintain good employee relations and interdepartmental objectives.
  • Work on KPI’s (QI) with department personal.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, training’s, current literature, in service meetings and workshops; shows responsibility for own professional practice and ongoing education.
  • Do SQSS daily (beginning and end of shift) and training for SQSS as required.
  • Check email daily
  • Will take patients to exam room, obtain vitals, review medical history and current medications, and obtain reason for visit.
  • Address any care gaps as needed.
  • Scan documents into the EMR as needed.
  • Clean exam rooms after each patient.
  • Stock all exam rooms.
  • Assist nurse and provider as necessary.
  • Assist reception and nurse with phone calls as able and necessary.
  • Assist nurse with paperwork as appropriate.

AGE OF PATIENTS SERVED:

  1. All ages are served at Fairview Municipal Hospital including:

Neonate/Infant –      Birth – 1 year

Child/Pediatric –        1 – 11 years

Adolescent –              12 – 17 years

Adult –                         18 – 64 years

Geriatric –                  65 years +

Non-Essential Functions

  •  Perform other duties as assigned.
