II. Requirements:
Qualifications
- Must have current active license by Oklahoma Board of Nursing
- Must have current BLS certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations.
- Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
- Working irregular hours including call hours.
- Exposure to blood and body fluids, blood borne pathogens, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation (x-ray/electromagnetic energy), potential electric shock.
- Position requires reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeing.
- Mostly inside work w/ good ventilation and comfortable temperature.
- Requires mostly standing and walking and approximately 20% sitting.
- Position requires heavy frequent lifting in excess of 100 lbs.
- Manage stress appropriately.
- Handle multiple priorities.
- Make decisions under pressure.
- Work in areas that are confined and/or crowded.
III. Duties:
Job Summary
Under direction of the Clinic Manger (RN), CNO, and/or Provider, care for all patients in the clinic, and anywhere else required in the hospital. Demonstrate ability to utilize the appropriate resources, administer correct medications, assist with treatments/procedures and the use appropriate supplies to care for the patient. Following all policy & procedures of FRMC.
Essential Functions
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of FRMC.
- Adherence to policies and procedures of Hospital.
- Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Nursing Department.
- Carrying out doctors’ orders promptly and accurately
- Completes work assignments in a timely manner.
- Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
- Uses and maintains equipment properly.
- Assists visitors with directions whenever requested.
- Always introduces self to patients, families, and visitors.
- Pouring and administering of medications
- Documents accurately information, medications, and observations in EPIC/EMR.
- Acknowledges orders of Providers in EPIC/EMR and properly transcribing medications
- Keeping doctors notified in changes of patients’ needs
- Regular attendance at clinic meetings & facility required meetings.
- Available for duty in case of disaster.
- Take verbal orders and telephone and put into EPIC/EMR.
- Reports safety hazards as appropriate.
- Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
- Replenishes supplies.
- Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques, Standard Precautions, and isolation precautions.
- Maintains set quality standards when performing job duties.
- Works hours assigned including Saturday mornings.
- Ability to do work on his/her own with normal supervision.
- Observes safety precautions at all times.
- Maintains age specific safety precautions.
- Reads and knows where to find all policy & procedures
- Do SQSS daily (beginning and end of shift) and training for SQSS as required.
- Attends all EPIC/EMR training as required.
- The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, training’s, current literature, in service meetings and workshops; shows responsibility for own professional practice and ongoing education.
- Cooperate with other personnel to achieve departmental objectives, maintain good employee relations and interdepartmental objectives.
- Upon arrival:
- Collect mail from all mailboxes
- Listen and return phone messages
- Check and clear EMR InBasket
- Scan any documentation from previous day
- Check refrigerator/freezer temperatures
- Open EMR to see schedule
- With each patient:
- Take patient to exam room, obtain vitals, review medical history, and current medications, and obtain reason for visit
- Take and complete orders from physician, transcribe them in EMR if necessary, and instruct patient on how to complete necessary testing
- Answer calls concerning health, medication refills, and result questions
- Assist provider with procedures
- Clean exam room after each patient
- Educate patients regarding procedures, medications, referrals, etc.
- At end of day:
- Clean exam rooms and exam tables including counters, chairs, stools, procedure tables, etc. and document in SQSS
- Stock all rooms
- Scan necessary documents into EMR
- Ensure all medication cabinets are locked
- Return all phone messages
- Ensure necessary paperwork is signed by provider
- Check with receptionist for any outstanding messages/issues
- Ensure used instruments are cleaned and ready for central sterile pick up
- Assist reception with phone calls as able and necessary

Neonate/Infant – Birth – 1 year
Child/Pediatric – 1 – 11 years
Adolescent – 12 – 17 years
Adult – 18 – 64 years
