Cardio-pulmonary Services department is a specialty area working in the treatment of cardiac and respiratory disorders. The department is staffed with a medical director and staff trained in cardiac and pulmonary care. The purpose of the Cardiopulmonary Department is to provide rehabilitation and treatment to those who have been affected by a major cardiac event, congestive heart failure, or chronic respiratory disease

Services available include:

Cardiac Rehabilitation: Diagnoses include-

  • Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
  • Stable Angina Pectoris
  • Myocardial Infarction
  • Coronary Stent Placement
  • Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
  • Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
  • Valve Repair/Replacement
  • Heart or Heart-Lung Transplant

 

Pulmonary Rehabilitation: Diagnoses include-

  • Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (COPD)
  •  Chronic Bronchitis
  • Other Emphysema

Respiratory Services: There are multiple diagnoses for which RT can be utilized. Please check with the Cardiopulmonary Department to see if your lung disease qualifies.

The most common are:

  • Pulmonary Fibrosis
  • Cystic Fibrosis
  • Asthma
  • Bronchiectasis

 

We also administer the following test:

  • Cardiac Stress Test or Exercise Tolerance Test
  • Pulmonary Stress Test
  • Pulmonary Function Test
  • Bronchodilator Responsiveness Test
  • Pulse Oximetry
